What are the different criteria to make your coffee table an eye-catcher?

It has now become customary to have a coffee table in everyone. Though originally it was invented to enjoy a cup of coffee over it, today it is not restricted in its utility. Evolving over time, it is now a part of our home decoration. It is a small piece of furniture which makes the focal point to draw the attention of the people entering the living room. Choose it wisely to fit the color of the walls, floor designs, theme and the ambience of the entire room.

It should match the living style of the homeowner. If it is used only to serve coffee, then it is better to get a small one. If you use it to place newspapers, magazines, flower vase, you can go for a big one preferably with drawers. If your room is small, you can purchase a set of two or three which can be placed underneath one another and can be used as and when required.

A flower vase combined with a floral arrangement on it will speak about your artistic sense. A bowl of water with some fresh rose petals is my personal favourite. It soothes the atmosphere with its aroma. You can also add a few drops of rose oil in the water to enhance the effect.

If you are going to decorate your new home or remodel the entire living to get a fabulous look, first you choose it that stimulates your imagination and then the rest of the furniture and accessories to suit it. If you like traditional feel, go for a unique classy wooden piece. If the contemporary style excites you, go for some minimalist design.
